Mathcasts by Educators

Tim Fahlberg began pioneering mathcasts (originally known as math movies and then Whiteboard Movies) in 1997 with the support of a grant from the Issaquah Schools Foundation.

Colleen King, Dr. Linda Fahlberg-Stojanovska, Rev. Dr. Graeme MacNeil and his students, and Jake Nonis are currently the most prolific mathcasts creators in the world.

Colleen, Linda, Graeme, and Tim are now doing the leading work in the area of mathcasts.  Colleen has many hundreds of mathcasts on her websites (SATMathPro, ActionMath, and ThinkingBlocks).  Linda and Graeme have presented to international audiences and have received large grants to fund their innovative use of mathcasts to improve mathematics education in their countries (Linda in FYR Macedonia and Graeme in Australia).  Each of them deserves their own pages here (coming soon!).

Martha Thornburgh presented at NCCE 2004 on the topic of Whiteboard Movies (in Seattle, Washington, USA) on March 18th, 2005.

Jake Nonis and Tim Fahlberg were featured in an Issaquah Press article (Washington State, US) and have presented together nationally (in the US that is) at NECC in 2005.
