Math Educators:
  • Are you looking for an answer to a math question?
Maybe someone has already answered it in the form of a math movie (what we call a mathcast).
Search through available mathcasts (math movies) for the WASL (coming soon), by grade, or course using the navigation panel at left or by browsing www.mathcasts.org
Important! You may need to click on Global Links at left to make it display all areas of mathematics.
  • Not finding an answer to your question?

    • Then please ask a question in one of our help forums.  Anyone can post to the Public Help Forum but you'll want to become a member if you want to post to a specific Members Help Forum or to the Educators only forum.
    • Another math educator will answer your question - typically with a mathcast.
  • Want to ask "How would you teach this?" or "This is how I teach xxx.  How do you teach it?"

    • Become a member and then ask questions and receive (or give) professional development on demand.
    • Learn how to make a mathcast and share it so that you can show others how you teach or so you can show them how to solve a problem.
    • Have a dialog with other teachers during your planning time or after school.
    • Get the help you need when you need it instead of waiting for the "professional development" your school district offers which is often not as timely or helpful as you'd like it to be.

  • Use our Educators only forum that only educators can access.
  • Want to answer new math questions using mathcasts?
    • Become a member of math247.  This will allow you to contribute to post replies in our forums.
    • Learn how to make a mathcast.
    • Visit the Help Forums often and look for a question you can answer.
    • Create a mathcast and share it by posting a reply to a forum question with a link to your mathcast.
    • Add a link to your mathcast to your lifetime educator portfolio?.
    • Pat yourself on the back.
    • Show your latest mathcast to your parents, teachers, and friends.  Your work will bring you and those who know you honor and it will inspire others!
    • Request extra pay from your school district for the work you do here - especially if you answer math questions for your own students who ask them here.

  • Want to create your own lifetime digital portfolio?
  • Become a member!  It's free and easy!

  • Tell a peer or colleague about mathcasts, math247.jot.com, and encourage them to join us!
