What are mathcasts

Version 1, changed by admin. 10/10/2006.   Show version history

Mathcasts are screencasts (screen movies of writing with voice) that focus on mathematics.

The term mathcasts was suggested by Mary Marotta. Mathcasts were originally called "math movies" (1997) and then "Whiteboard Movies" (2001?) by Tim Fahlberg.

Jon Udell coined the term screencast. Jon interviewed Tim Fahlberg about mathcasts.
